Matthew
JeVone Mitchell is currently the Sr. Pastor and Founder of Renewal Center
Church. He was born and raised in
Dayton, Ohio, to David and Ann Mitchell. At the age of six-teen, Pastor
Mitchell was healed of a childhood illness, which caused him to miss his first
two years of high school. It was
at that time God begin to speak to him about his call to the ministry.
He accepted the call to ministry on November 4th 1994, at
the age of 18. He preached his initial sermon December of that same year.
He was ordained in 1996, at the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church,
where the Pastor is Dr.W.W.Cotton; that same year he married Elyse Buckner.
Pastor Mitchell started Renewed Life in Christ Church in April 2001, a
non-denominational church (renamed Renewal Center Church), with the goal of “Bringing
Lives Into Harmony With God.”
In May of 2004 Pastor Mitchell started a bible study
in Columbus, Ohio and on August 8th Renewal Center Church, Columbus
held its first church service. The
headquarters of Renewal Center Church is in Columbus Ohio. Pastor Mitchell is
currently the pastor of two bodies, one in Columbus, Ohio and one in Dayton,
Ohio.
Pastor
Mitchell holds a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Bethany Bible College (2001
Summa Cum Laude). He is currently
working toward a Masters Degree at Bethany Bible College. Pastor Mitchell also
holds an Associate Degree in Electronics and in the secular world Matthew
Mitchell has worked in the Information Technology field for prestigious
companies such as, Arch Wireless, Intel, Bank One, and GE.
Pastor
Mitchell has an apostolic call on his life, a heart for people, and a desire
to see lives changed by the power of God.
He has the ability to keep your attention with his straightforward
approach of applying the Bible to where you are. His mission, by the power of the Holy Spirit, is to empower
people to live effective Christian lives.
Pastor Mitchell has been in ministry for ten years as
of December 2004. He remains faithful and dedicated to God and to his call to
service. Pastor Mitchell
continues to grow and experience God in different mighty ways, he is faithful
and he has endured to remain standing for and with Christ until the sounding
of the horn and the day of judgment where the Lord God will say, “Well done
MY GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT.”
